I’ve ridden in one; it’s not so bad (and I’m no fan of heights).
I rode in one (over Napa) a few months ago – the feeling of lift off is surreal!
But really – the only thing between you and certain death is hot air and strings. That didn’t freak you out at all? Was it completely stable?

Point taken, although the idea of a floating convertible is really what freaks me out. Plus, the confined space.
